Once an auction purchase contract is signed by the parties, the auctioneer never has to worry about the deal falling apart because of a contingency.
Reason No. 7: Auctions increase listing opportunities through joint ventures and consignment auctions. An auctioneer has several options when it comes to listing property for sale. They can list a property for sale and become the sellers listing broker, they can offer to sell other brokers listings at auction called a joint venture or they can invite other brokers to place their listings in their auction called a consignment auction. Whichever method you choose, it's clear that real estate auctioneers have more listing opportunities.
Reason No. 8: Auctioneers get paid even if the property does not sell when using a “no-sale fee” clause. A “no sale fee” clause in an auction listing agreement provides for compensation to the auctioneer in the unlikely event that a property does not sell at auction.
